Adventure
Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.6
Hollow Lantern is a hand-drawn adventure game with a heavy, quiet atmosphere. You explore a town that's slowly forgetting itself, and progress comes from piecing together environmental clues rather than combing pixel by pixel. The puzzles are logical, and hints are available if you get stuck without feeling babied.
What sells it is the mood. The art is gorgeous, the ambient sound design is unsettling in the best way, and the story unfolds through notes, objects, and half-remembered conversations. I played it in one long evening and didn't want it to end.
It's not a long game, maybe five hours, but every scene earns its place. If you like slow-burn narrative adventures that trust you to pay attention, this is an easy recommendation.
