Ironline Command
Ironline Command scales down real-time strategy for a touchscreen better than I expected. Instead of overwhelming you with units, it focuses on a handful of squads and the supply lines feeding them. Cut an enemy's supply and watch their offensive stall — it's a smart hook that gives every map a puzzle-like layer.
The touch controls took a session or two to click, but once I learned the gesture shortcuts, ordering flanks and retreats felt natural. Missions are short enough to finish on a break yet ask for real planning. Difficulty ramps steeply, so casual players might bounce off the later campaigns.
My only gripe is the menus, which feel a generation behind the actual gameplay. Still, for a mobile strategy game with genuine tactical depth, this one earned a permanent spot on my home screen.
